Sliding Scale & Equity Focused Services

Green Bottle Theory.avif

The "Green Bottle Theory", a tool developed by Alexis J Cunninfolk,  provides a framework for determining additional factors for accessing sliding scale services beyond a strictly financial framework.

I am passionate about serving my community from an equity and inclusion lens. If you are seeking sliding scale services, please review the tool below and include any relevant information in your initial consultation when discussing fee structures.

NOTE: The fee schedule above is reflective of full-fee services (Tier 3).

A Final Note on Services

There are some areas that I am unable to support with, whether for personal reasons or because it is outside of my scope of practice. Some of these areas include: the use of violence against animals, the use of violence/power/control against women and children, psychosis and psychotic disorders, eating disorders, and paraphilic disorders.

I do not typically work with individuals with outstanding judicial matters.

If I am unable to assist you with the areas you are seeking therapy for during consultation, I will offer recommendations and referrals to other providers in my network.

Land Acknowledgement
At Next Chapter Psychotherapy, we deeply honour the land on which we live and work. We acknowledge that our practice is situated on the shared traditional lands of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabeg, who have been stewards to this land for countless generations, protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement.

We recognize the historical and ongoing impacts of colonization, and the direct harm that the social work profession has caused; including but not limited to participation in the Indian Residential School System and the 60s Scoop (the large scale removal of Indigenous children from their homes, families and communities, facilitated by social workers in the child welfare system).

This acknowledgement is a step towards honouring the resilience, wisdom and sovereignty of Indigenous peoples, and a commitment to approach our work with humility, respect and a commitment to justice and reconciliation. This acknowledgement also serves as a commitment to enacting the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action into practice.

Let this land acknowledgement serve as an invitation to reflect, learn, and take meaningful action in supporting Indigenous communities across Canada.
